The November 2001 Special Session was called by the Governor to provide for redistricting of government pursuant to Article IV, Section 1, of the North Dakota Constitution following the 2000 census, and for other purposes as deemed by the legislative assembly.

There were two bills introduced and passed during the special session. The Governor signed both bills on November 30, 2001.
