Studies

(2003 § 45) A higher education funding review committee is created and composed of 13 members, including 2 members of the House appointed by the House Majority Leader, 1 member of the House appointed by the House Minority Leader, 2 members of the Senate appointed by the Senate Majority Leader, 1 member of the Senate appointed by the Senate Minority Leader, 1 member of the Legislative Assembly to serve as chairman appointed by the Legislative Management, and 6 nonvoting members representing higher education institutions. The committee shall study funding methods for higher education in the state.

Reports

Receive a report from the State Board of Higher Education regarding any appropriation authority transferred from the operations to the capital assets line items within subdivisions 2 through 14 of Section 1 of 2025 Senate Bill No. 2003 for the biennium beginning July 1, 2025, and ending June 30, 2027. (2025 Senate Bill No. 2003 § 38)

Receive a report from the Department of Commerce by October 1, 2026, regarding workforce development grants awarded to a tribally controlled community college. (2025 Senate Bill No. 2018 § 15)

Receive a biennial report from the State Board of Higher Education on the use of funding in the University System capital building fund, the source of matching funds, and each institution's 5-year plan for capital construction spending. (NDCC § 15‑54.1‑02)
