Under Section 15.1-01-04, as amended by House Bill No. 1123 (2023), the Kindergarten Through Grade Twelve Education Coordination Council performs a continuous review of the effectiveness and efficiency of access and delivery of education services and programs in the state. The council includes one member of the majority party in the House of Representatives appointed by the House Majority Leader, one member of the majority party in the Senate appointed by the Senate Majority Leader, one member of the minority party appointed by the Minority Leader of either chamber, and one member appointed by the Legislative Management from the chamber from which the Minority Leader did not make a selection.
