A concurrent resolution to create and enact a new section to article X of the Constitution of
North Dakota, relating to dedication and distribution of a portion of sales, use, and motor
vehicle excise tax revenues to political subdivisions for state revenue sharing and personal
property tax replacement; and to provide an effective date.
STATEMENT OF INTENT
This amendment provides for revenue from six-tenths of one percentage point of the general
sales, use, and motor vehicle excise tax to be allocated to the state aid distribution fund
and that revenue in the state aid distribution fund must be allocated to political
subdivisions in equal amounts for state revenue sharing and personal property tax replacement.
