Title
A concurrent resolution for the amendment of section 2 of article V, subsection 2 of section 6 of article VIII, and section 3 of article IX of the Constitution of North Dakota, relating to the elimination of the superintendent of public instruction and the tax commissioner as constitutionally elected officials, the nomination of candidates for the state board of higher education, and the composition of the board of university and school lands; to provide for application; and to provide an effective date. STATEMENT OF INTENT This amendment removes the superintendent of public instruction and the tax commissioner as constitutionally elected officials, removes the nomination procedure for selection of members of the state board of higher education, and designates the state auditor as a member of the board of university and school lands. This amendment becomes effective January 1, 2000.
