Children's Cabinet

Under Section 54-07-13, the Children's Cabinet is to assess, guide, and coordinate the care for children across the state's branches of government and the tribal nations. The cabinet includes two members of the Senate appointed by the Senate Majority Leader and two members of the House of Representatives appointed by the House Majority Leader. A presiding officer must be appointed by the Governor in consultation with the Chairman of Legislative Management. The presiding officer may be a member of the Governor's cabinet or a legislator serving on the Children's Cabinet.
